Healings and Expressions of Gratitude

Thank you so much for everything—all of the loving support, all of the great meals, all of the tender, quiet and patient support. It has made and is making, a huge difference in my life.
- from a Home Nursing patient

I fell and could not walk….I was in considerable pain whenever my legs were moved. With a week’s time I was able to move my legs and afterwards walk to the bathroom. The care was excellent...

Words can not express my heartfelt gratitude for the loving support and wonderful care received by my husband at High Ridge House… Please convey my appreciation to the lady in the business office who got into her car and led us out of the complicated streets when my GPS did not work in my car! Wow!... Words just cannot express all the good you people are doing…. My husband is progressing nicely at home. Lots of progress there, too!

-from a wife of a patient

Greetings and thanks to you all who took my friend with you to the lecture the other evening! What a lovely example of the spirit of Christian Science nursing—and a joyous demonstration of normal activity!

-from a friend of a patient

I so enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and was able to pray fervently and study diligently. I also appreciated the helpfulness and friendliness showed to me by all the staff, the beautiful surroundings, and the delicious food.”

-from a Rest & Study guest

HRH warmly invites you to join us for “Rest and Study” or as a “Day Guest”.

Sharing a summer cookout with our volunteers

There is always “room at the inn” for sincere Christian Scientists to volunteer conduct a Sunday or Wednesday church service, lead a hymn sing, or play scrabble with the patients. Your presence at HRH “…brightens the ascending path of many a heart.” (S&H 265:26-28) Please email Barbara at info@highridgehouse.org or call 718-796-4200, ext. 203, to inquire about ways you can participate.
