High Ridge House abounds with opportunities to be of service, to magnify your love, and to use your talents and gifts. Will you take a moment, right now, to consider one way you might express your selfless love as a volunteer at High Ridge House? Then please contact us at 718-796-4200, ext. 203. 

Here's a list of opportunities for you to consider:

Healing Support Activities

• Be a reader for a Wednesday or Sunday afternoon service.
• Provide live music for the services, hymn sings, or events.
• Create and implement an interesting activity for patients.
• Let your light shine by sharing your special talent with patients, whether it be musical, acting, dancing, painting, public speaking, cooking, making crafts, and more!

Companioning Activities

• Spend time conversing or reading with a patient.
• Bring your pet for a visit.
• Give a patient a wheelchair ride.
• Lead a group discussion on world events.

Financial Support Activities

• Help raise funds for special projects.
• Assist with community events.

Facility Support Activities

• Provide computer or clerical support.
• Plan or create a garden or spruce up the grounds.
• Help digitize audio materials for a new 4-channel sound system.

Professional Services or Consultations

High Ridge House wishes to stay "abreast of the times," and to do that we've developed a list of ambitious yet necessary projects that require specific skills sets or knowledge bases.  In order to get off on the right foot with these projects, we would like to engage Volunteer Consultants to corroborate and guide.

• Info Technology
• Grant writing
• Law
• Photography/Videography
• Writing

Your involvement could just be a few hours or a visit or two. Other projects may require a longer commitment, but we will always respect your schedule and availability. Your gift of services will bless you as well as Christian Science nursing and High Ridge House!
