Board of Trustees
For most of her business career, Fran worked for Fortune Magazine at Time Warner where she headed up the special sections department, a department that contributed millions of dollars in advertising sales to Fortune’s profits. After leaving Time Warner, she was a partner in a small company that sold advertising primarily for Fortune and BusinessWeek. Fran is a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Montclair, New Jersey and has served as Board President, First and Second Reader, Lecture Chairman, and Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. Currently, she is President of Board of Trustees of her branch church and treasurer of the Visiting Christian Science Nursing Service of New Jersey.
Christine found Christian Science as a teenager and became a Christian Science nurse shortly after graduating from high school, receiving her education at the Tenacre School of Christian Science Nursing in Princeton, NJ. Her ministry has included serving as supervisor, instructor, and Director of Christian Science Nursing. Her service has taken her to Lynn House of Potomac Valley in Alexandria, Virginia; the Visiting Christian Science Nurse Service for Washington D.C.; and the Tenacre Foundation. She also supported the Committee on Publication for New Jersey serving for three years as the executive assistant.
During her time as Tenacre’s Director of Christian Science Nursing, she was occasionally asked by Christian Science nursing organizations to share inspirational talks and workshops. She loved these opportunities to discuss ethics, healings she has witnessed, and the spiritual nature of true nursing.
Now retired from Tenacre, she has continued to minister as a Christian Science nurse through contract work and she makes occasional visits to Christian Scientists needing support in their homes. Lastly, she loves supporting her community as a volunteer for “Meals on Wheels.”
Christine’s family includes a very supportive husband and three very precious dogs.
